Businessinsider received a comment on their blog post AOL’s Top Sales People Flee Armstrong Regime, Implode Revenues from a person who claimed as an “Ex-AOL Sales Rep”.

The comment starts like this:
As an ex-AOL’er (sales rep who left in the past couple months) – your comments are dead nuts on. The management (Armstrong, Levick, Clift, etc) are incompetent and not the right people to be running the ship.

I can honestly say – the grass is ABSOLUTELY greener on the other side. I am calling on the same clients I had previously, and taking AOL’s revenue away hand-over-fist. My clients trust ME – I have built relationships with them, and they are following ME … not necessarily AOL. Hearing them tell me things about AOL that they were afraid to tell me previously – most of it (if not all) is EMBARASSING. Looking back – I now ask myself

Ex-AOL'er Sales Rep, Ex-AOL'er Sales Rep comment, Ex-AOL'er Sales Rep comment on leaving AOL

Last February, businessinsider reported that Ali Van Putten, the AOL sales rep is nominated for 2009’s Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Sales Excellence award-winners. Many people know her because she is the only from AOLer to joined the finalist nod from the IAB and it is the reason why businessinsider called her as top sales rep of AOL’S 2009.

After three months, the AOL nominated for 2009’s Interactive Advertising Bureau’s Sales Excellence award-winners is no not working for AOL aymore.. According to the source of businessinsider, she is defected for unknown but apparently greener, pasture.

In recent months, Ali is not the only one who decided to stop working for AOL. There are two main reasons why AOL workers are leaving.

Today a source at digital river came out with news stating that several of AOL’s top sales staff left. Now if you think about this, what does AOL have left to let their sales staff go. Whenever a top sales guy or the team leaves a company, that is something they can’t get back . Sales people are your relationship broker and then if you figure the sales guy may sell their AOL shares then were looking lower.

AOL has cleary made every big mistake they can, now it’s time to unvail the big Bebo Loss of 850 mm on the books soon , give or take 100mm.

buy AOL your buying a rented search engine, that is falling off the map on ads and revenue and their great dial up service , which is outdated by 5 years. We stay short on AOL and see a big drop in share price soon, as AOL market cap is double it’s worth we think minimum.
